Join Calvary Overland
June 22nd - June 25th
as we embark on our next adventure of 2023. We will be returning to the Ouachita National Forest.

On this adventure, you wont just come out with stories to tell your friends; you'll emerge out from the forest with new skills, media, campsites, and having explored areas of the forest only a few people see. Most importantly, you'll leave with new friendships and a deeper sense of community.

Adventure Sponsor

We are stoked to announce the sponsor of this adventure as Off-Road Place. They are incredible partners and big time supporters of Calvary’s mission. So much so, that they are offering attendees complimentary services prior to this trip.

Whether you are wanting a lift with bigger wheels, or a complete off-road/overland build, their certified Off-Road technicians can help you with any type of dream build. Go give them a follow and big thank you to them for the support!

You're not joining this trip to ride the pavement. No, you're joining so you can get out to areas of the world that many don't venture into. On this trip we've planned a delicate balance of trial rides and time at camp, so you can explore on your feet and relax with new friends. Between those moments, we are logging miles on the trail and sharpening your off-road driving skillset. You'll experience 80+ miles of trails throughout the Ouachita National Forest and be able to record campsites in your GPS app of choice so you can come back and space the city once again.

Taking photos of your rig while out on the trail is hard, exhausting, and takes away from the experience. Capturing video on top of that is even more difficult! Then add the cost of equipment just to capture a decent photo can push it over the edge. While on our adventure, we'll have a dedicated person to capture you, your rig, and the friends your going to make. Hiring someone to do this for a few days can cost as much as $5,000, but on our adventures it's included!

Waking up at camp and getting a good breakfast is great, but waking up in camp with breakfast already made is even better! Along with breakfast for three days, we have a variety of activities and workshops planned so you can level up and leave with a better working knowledge for your own adventures. We will cover trail etiquette, T.R.E.A.D. principles and camp hacks. â€‹Our activities are subject to change based on the weather and trail conditions, but you wont want to miss out on everything we have planned!

Do you know what to do if someone has extensive bleeding on the trail? Caleb at Lone Star Medics will be instructing a hemorrhage control seminar that will coach you how to apply life saving hemorrhage control techniques in an emergency situation. This is a vitally important skill set, not only as you travel to remote areas, but in your daily life as well. The material will include tourniquet application, wound packing, and other life saving topics. Caleb has spent the last 20 years in the tactical medical industry, including time served as a U.S. Army Combat Medic.

FAQ

Who is the Adventure for?

Calvary Adventures are for everyone. It doesn’t matter if you’ve traveled around the world or haven’t been on your first trip.

Do I need a 4x4/AWD or a high clearance vehicle?

You do not need a 4x4/AWD vehicle, but we do recommend that your vehicle has a minimum of 8-9 inches of ground clearance and at least falls into the category of small SUV (Toyota Rav4, Subaru Crosstrek, etc.). If you have questions about your vehicle, reach out to our trail leaders for help.

This is my first time out, is that okay?

Yes! The Lead team and everyone in this community are here to help. If you have any questions on what to bring, don’t hesitate to reach out to the Trail Leaders. brandon@calvaryoverland.com

What apps do I need?

You don’t need any apps or technology, but we recommend Gaia GPS. This is how all of our trail leaders mark and discover routes. While on the adventure, you’ll be able to record all of the routes and campsites we find.

Is this really worth $300?

We think so. Industry standard for 3-4 day trips average $650 - $1000 per vehicle. You’ll be hard pressed to find an outing that provides medical training, camp/adventure workshops, high quality photo & video services, food, and well executed travel.
